Thanks for all the suggestions on what to take in case you have an emergency get-out-of-the-house situation.
We are planning on getting a fire safe and doing a fire safety check this weekend.
Everyone in that house got out safely, but they lost everything.
The fire was started because the man accidently left his gas grill on.

Hey, we have even more in common than our dislike of meat, libra status, and red heeler dogs! I was an asst. teacher for pre-K after college :)
I did not have that big of muscles, it's just the way my arm's pressed against me.

The fire safe is awesome. We have one and I never have any fears if our house was to go up in flames. Of course all the important papers are in there and it is just good to know that they will live even if your couch doesn't.
