Another Lummin installment

Here is my little girl, wearing the Peter Rabbit dress that was mine when I was a little girl.

fashionista
She did pick out her own socks and shoes to match.
Yeah, well. She has her own sense of fashion.

What an incredibly nostalgic feeling watching my own flesh and blood run around in the same little threads I wore as a little girl... I imagine that my mom probably looked at me the same way and that I probably hopped around like a little jumping bean too!

kids in the doorway
Here we have the big hunk of boy Holden, and Sophie with the classic toddler smile plastered across her face.
All two year olds have one.
You know the smile, the one that looks nothing like a real smile.
They have this silly idea in their head that when someone says "smile" they need to squint their eyes, crinkle up their nose, show all their teeth in a rabbity sort of way, and say "cheeeeeeeeeeese!"

I love that last photo of Sophie walking down the driveway. She looks like she knows where she's going and she's on a mission. And that dress is so precious. That's so cool that you still have it!

I am loving her in that dress.

Maybe I should dress Nik up in my old Brownie uniform.

Maybe not.

Those are some realy good shots. Annelise has one of those smiles. The eye crinkling is because of the flash. When she sees the red light come on she squints against the flash she knows is coming.

That picture of her walking away is a great shot... artisitc.

I know how you feel about the 'them wearing our clothes' thing. We brought the 2 girls home in 'my' outfit... and I saved a few little dresses they wore as well.

One - a Carter's T-shirt, is one I wore. Then for years I used it to play with my dolls. Later I found it in a box of things at my Mothers and I had NatureGirl wear it... it was almost 30 years old and still in GREAT shape. Gotta love the old Carters Brand!!!

She is walking in that dress and pink shoes with such confidence! She's so cute! Love that outfit..

Yes...our mothers were all over our outfit choices, I'm sure. I think we're a littl more laid back in those kind of things, though.

Sweetie, thank you for your sweet thoughts. I sooo felt them.

So adorable! That's so neat that you still have the dress! Any pictures around of you wearing it when you were little? Her smile is just precious!

That so cute that you have that dress still!

I was just looking at this little plaid skirt in my closet that was mine when I was about 5 that my mom saved. I got it after the girls were too big. I was thinking maybe I should donate it, but now I will definitely save it for a granddaughter, although they better be a LONG way off.

So sweet!

My parents gave me a 3-6 mos. dress that I put #1 in and it was wild. She was totally cute...just like her mommy.

Modesty...still working on that.

I always find myself coming to Lumville and saying things like..."CUTE!" and "AWE!"

It is just the right response around here usually! :)

Awww. I love that dress. I also love that you saved it for your daughter!

My daughter will only wear tennis shoes. That puts a real damper on the dresses she can wear. I'm hoping to talk her out of them for the Easter pictures we taking this weekend. Ugh.

A little Kept birdie tells us its your birthday. So, Happy Birthday!!

How very sweet that you have some kid clothes. My mom threw everything out and I must have tons of clothes saved for my grandkids. Both kids are very cute.

Sophie reminds me so much of you when you were little. How about posting that picture of you in the dress? I'd love to compare the pictures and I think the other bloggers would too.
